Opportunities to Volunteer

Living, serving and giving is our mission statement here at Our Savior Lutheran. We believe in loving others because Christ first loved us. Because God’s love is perfect and unconditional for each of us, we give and serve to others the best way we can, as imperfect people.

Below are various ways to get involved within the church and community, but there’s still much more! Fill out the Ministry Interest Questionnaire on Church Center to let us know where your strengths lie. We’ll be in touch!

Hospitality

Use your loving smile to greet those attending church on Sundays. Be on the look out for visitors and make them feel welcome!

Teachers & Leaders

This is a great way to teach God’s love with kids, teens, or adults by using prepared curriculum. You don’t have to do it alone!

Lutheran Women’s Mission League

The women  of LWML have a heart for faith, family, and mission-giving. What better way to pass on that legacy of faith!

Lutheran Laymen’s League

Join a dedicated group of volunteers who are active in ministry locally and around the world, from all ages and walks of life.

Overton Football Team

Nothing like a hardy meal before a good game. Serve dinner to the teens at Overton High School before their football games.

Room in the Inn

Come serve dinner and offer support and encouragement to those who call the streets of Nashville home.

Rebuilding Together Nashville

For over 20 years, Rebuilding Together has served the Nashville community by restoring, rebuilding and providing critical repairs at homes of low-income residents. 

Worship Support

Scripture readers and altar guild care members are always needed. There are other ways to serve as well!

Music & Technology

Have a special interest in music, technology or both? This is the place for you.

Property & Grounds

Are painting, fixing, gardening, weeding up your alley? Check out fun ways to volunteer around church.

Quilters

Do you love to sew? Or would like to know how? Just show up and there will be a task to match your talent! 

Trinity HOPE

Share God’s love by feeding Christian school children in Haiti through prayer, holding an event, or taking a mission trip. Learn more.

Habitat for Humanity

Hammer for a good cause! Help build homes to support families getting back on their feet.

There are two vases at the altar each Sunday. You can choose to donate for one or both vases for any given Sunday. Learn More.
